I'm afraid SO doesn't care about these machines anymore and do not offer service.

What is it you would want to get improved? If it's battery and/or screen illumination there are some hacks...

The internal fan is inop. And there are fan blade pieces inside unit. You can hear them rattle around

Not too much help I can offer....but it's easy to open the case and get the broken parts out. You may be able to find an adequate 'substite' fan looking for PC accessories. Typically these fans are available in different sizes like 2, 3, 4 inches and run on 5 or 12 volts. I hope you can rig up something.
