If you lost all your scanners what you buy to start with? 2k ish (I had autel ultra, autel 906, autel key programmer autel tpms tool.) work mostly with bmw, Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan, us domestic 2% vw Audi

Given the makes you work on, Autel is a solid choice. For $2,000-ish, I'd be tempted to go with the IM608 or the 906 Pro-TS:

Which one would depend on how much you rely on the immo functions, and if you sell/install Autel TPMS sensors.
The TopDon Phoenix Smart is also in your price range. I haven't used it, but Brian over at HandsOnAutoTraining has had some nice things to say about it:
