Hantec Oscilloscopes was created by Garry48
I'm not a professional mechanic; but I have visited the ScannerDanner website once!
Has anyone used a 4 channel USB Hantec 60Mhz, 70Mhz, 100Mhz USB "Automotive Diagnostic" Oscilloscope?
I'm interested in hearing how they perform in diagnosing issues.
I'm interested in pros and cons.
Does the Hantec have the capability of finding the same issues, even if it takes a bit longer?
Please don't post your opinion; I already know, "Pico is the way to go"!

Pro:
Price

Con:
I already know you have to lug the laptop, scope and bundle of cables to the vehicle and balance it on the sloping fender!
I've also read reviews that the SW installs in Chinese, but can be changed to English, if you can read Chinese.
No online traces for reference.

TIA

Any of the Hantek scopes offer a lot of bang for your buck BUT there are a couple of caveats, the first is Hantek quality control is dubious and the software interface isn't easy to use. Having said that even the cheapest Hantek scope will do most autmotive diagnostics and they usually come packaged a good selection of probes and accessories. If you do buy the scope make sure you get all the probes that were originally bundled with the scope as these cost if bought individually.

The problem with the software interface is the pogrammers have tried make it look like controls on a hardware bench scope and as a result it is very awkward and tiresome to use with a mouse or touch pad.

Added Edit ---- ISTR the Chinese problem it turns out has a very simple solution if the Chinese language file is deleted from the programs directory it defaults to English.

This should help the original info came Enrique Osorio' on his Youtube channel

To switch to English from Chinese : Find the programes directory and delete all the .LUG files except Lan_English.lug (or any western language of your choice).
