having this fluke 97 made finding this ghost misfire on a 98 expedition 5.4 possible. it would be real random under load, with basic live data had no guidance. only things that stood was 10% ritch and slow maf, clean the maf fix the response but not really any on trim. it had cats done by a prior owner and a oem plug blow out on #3 when towing a trailer, put a fouler kit in since could not get a 5334-14 kit at the time and had to get it off the side of road. replacing that coil solved nothing so pushed it off for a few weeks, with this scope I found that the #4 coil was the issue and was slightly corroded. here are the waveforms from bank 1, bank 2 look like variants of #1 an #2. that fouler gives a different form and arks on itself internally. a new coil on #4 got rid of the miss and no call back on it over the past week

primary min/max - info
#1 0/160v new coil
#2 0/160v
#3 0/155v fouler
#4 800mv/162v with new coil looked like #1

Wow nice find. That looks like a great meter to have around!

with my 105b these are captures off a 04 gm 3800, it is cam crank correlation and a injector firing. I was tracking down a no start after a no crank, this is a car that got sabotaged. it had a bad key in power to pcm wire, ripped cam wire and a bad power lead at the fuel pump

18: crank 3x
19: cam

1: crank 18x
20: cam

injector runing
