I was wondering if it would be better to get a modis or have a vantage and a different scan tool. I think it would be better to have two different tools than just an all in one tool like the modis. Any input on what you guys are using or is it a better value to just get the modis?
I assume you are talking about the MODIS Ultra? 2 years ago when I was is the market for a scope and scanner I looked at getting the MODIS Ultra. I was about to pull the trigger on it but decided against it due to the fact that you cant use the scope and scanner at the same time. I ended up getting a Vantage Ultra and an ETHOS Tech. Both from Snap-on. And to add the shop I work for does have a Verus Pro, so that influenced my decision as well.
I like the Vantage Ultra, I would Love the Vantage Ultra if it had some of the capabilities of the Vantage Pro built into it. As far as the Ethos, it is a capable scanner, in fact it has the same software as the Solus Ultra and Modis Ultra. Just no trouble shooter and only OBD2. It did come with 3 years of updates included with the price.
I am not trying to convince you on what you decide but that's the route I went.

Thanks that is what I meant and looking for. I do think is best to have two different tools. May need the scoop and scan tool at the same time. Yes you answered the question thanks again.
I have an older Verus, so I can run the scope and scanner at the same time.
As long as you can keep the battery charged up, it's not bad.
I find the scope runs down the battery pretty quick, so it's always a scramble to keep it plugged into something.
How old is it? Is it still able to be updated? Maybe looking into an older verus for 4,000 if it's not that old. Snap on dealer was telling me about it least week but didn't get info on it yet.
I just got a modis ultra this year. I love it. I questioned the all I one as well. But decided to get the modis because I plan to add an Autel to the mix later
