I bought a nice used unit, well taken care of, and updated to 16.4. The display is best under low light conditions. I did some searching of pics, and found the same thing, just not a very brite screen. Even the person I bought it from said "yep, they are all like that" . Adjusted the brightness and contrast, and it looks like all the other images out there.. on the dim side. Such a shame too because Im mobile, and not in shop lit enviroment. Guess I need to find a shaded tree?! My solus ultra is prefect though. Not sure why SO couldnt do better on the VP. I swapped the coloring to a black back round which seems to help a bit. But even still............

I've had a Modis, Solus Pro and Verus and they all suck in the sun...
The Verus is better than the other two, but only just so.
