Looking to invest in this tool. Anybody posses this tool that can speak a little bit about it. Does it posses bi-directional control?

I'm pretty sure Chad has the E Scan.
I don't think there's any bidirectional controls since it's generic OBD2, but it does have some built in software that will allow you to run VE tests and some other things.

The eScan is an awesome tool. However, I would not recommend it as a PRIMARY scan tool. As, Noah pointed out, it does not have bi-directional control, and the refresh rate of viewing Data .pids is not the greatest. But, when it comes to solving drive-ability problems, the eScan has some great tests that will help, quickly, determine if the problem is Air, Fuel, or Mechanical. It will plot fuel trim in an easy to read table that allows you to see the "Big Picture" of fuel trim, at a glance. An easy to use Volumetric Efficiency test quickly assesses the engine's ability to breath. Combine those two tests together, by comparing Fuel Trim with Volumetric efficiency, and a drive-ability problem can, quickly, be determined if the cause of is Air or Fuel. It, also, has many other useful tests. Such as a Relative Compression test, Catalyst Efficiency, and others. In short, I would encourage anyone to purchase the eScan. Just not as a PRIMARY scan tool.

I should point out that the Volumetric Efficiency test requires a MAF sensor, making it un-usable on Chrysler vehicles (or any other speed density engine).
