New mechanic learning diagnosing. Is top don phoenix plus 2 good for beginner who is a mobile mechanic? was created by Djmechanic
I started a mobile mechanic business from watching YouTube videos. I only know how to change parts from you tube videos. I have been doing this for 2 years now but I have to turn down customers who have check engine light and intermittent stalling and no starts because I don’t have the equipment or knowledge on how to find the solution. I already tried a basic code scanner and guessed on parts and was wrong several times. This is why I’m here taking premium to learn how to diagnose these issues. I just ordered the top don phoenix plus 2 because I heard it’s decent for the price and I can buy the oscilloscope for it later on when I get more money and eventually I can buy other tools scanner danner uses for diagnosing. My question is does anyone have any experience with this top don phoenix plus 2 as to if it’s a good scanner for doing the diagnostics that scanner danner does here in these courses? Thank you!

What has your experience with the Phoenix been so far? I haven't had the opportunity to use one yet,.I'm interested to hear if you have found it useful

Yes it has been very useful and informative. I’m still new to it being my first bi directional scanner. So far it’s helped save me time from working under the hood by being able to read the graphs on a big screen and multiple graphs at the same time and it can screen record everything I see on the screen and label it and save it in files. This scanner to my new experience is a game changer. I will definitely be doing a lot more diagnostics with it until I get the oscilloscope to get more advanced details. I don’t regret buying top don phoenix plus 2. Oh and the customer service is extremely responsive and helpful to all and any questions I have. Very good customer service! I’d the scanner because it works and has support from real people.
