I HAVE AN 2013 EQINOX 2.4L (LEA)ENGINE HEAD BEEN CHANGED DON'T KNOW WHO DONE THE OR Y I HAVE THE PROBLEM NOW
AT AN IDLE THE CAR RUNS BAD AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR INTO RUNNING JERKING BUCK IN PARK BOTH FUEL PRESSURE RISES UP HI SIDE GO TO @400*2000 FLUXTUATES LOW 57 TO 60 CODES ARE P0089 /P228D FUEL SENSOR PERFORMANCE THEY HAVE BEEN CHANGED DIDN'T FIX
HI PRESSURE FUEL PUMP BEEN CHANGED WAS LEAKING OIL EXTERNALYT AND THE FOLLOWER BECAUSE OF THE KEY WAY US MISSING DIDN'T FIX
THE INTAKE TIMING SAY 16 DEGEES AT IDLE AND WHEN IT ACTS UP IT FLUXTUATE TO 20 DEGREES UP/DOWN CHECK TIMING IT WAS IN TIME FROM WHAT I FOUND MY SPEC SAY TIMING SHOULD BE AT 0 DEGREE AT IDLE I'M THINKING TIMING SOME HOW NOT SURE WERE TO GO

Hi,

You should post additional data at idle, so that we can find a direction.

Air flow, O2 readings, fuel trims, vacuum pressure, tps.

You can unplug VVT actuactors and check if idle improves.

Almost sounds like vvt system not getting enough oil pressure at idle when hot... Has the oil been changed ? May be a short term cure (run right for the first 1k miles) until oil thins, is valve train noisy at idle hot? Load some data clips cold idle and hot idle.

As you requested idle fuel pressure is 497 hi side low side 57 fuel trim is plus 3 to-3 moving good from.700 to .200 after about an hour it start to run bad has my posted reads at idle not driving (not being mean)engine fluctuations ba

Valve train is not noise , oil been changed intake vvt solenoid been changed timing chain been changed and checked twice head been replaced don't know why used car dealer we deal with bought it like this

</script> or call 317-910-6753 if it's a loud or look me up on facebook or through here i may not answer right a way i have data when it's doing it i'm trying to down load it i have an i'm 608 trying to get the info to my computer mi used and block off for the intake solenoid when i blocked it off the timing degree was at 0 so i'm thinking the computer is controlling the timing just not sure what i'm missing everything ??

I ran into a situation like this when i worked at the gm dealer. Make sure that all the cam caps are installed in the right place ( check letters or numbers I forget) . i had one drove me crazy. all were in wrong spot. made the line bore for the cam off enough that cam would not retard quickly ..... just saying ..... had it happen to me. made no noise . Just something to look at !

ok guys just an update on the equinox , it was sugestioned to check the cam cap so i did the cap was put back in the wright place as i can tell the arrows was facing the phaser gear(front ) number in order, so pulled some can cap off to look at oiling and of course they were scared up moderate so i pulled the intake cap off and found the seal missing,( dealer calls them 2 cam seals) , picture thanks ED2 for the advice and put me in the right direction
