I am trying to figure out why 2005 Hyundai accent is not starting. Accidentally it was jumpstarted wrong and now issues. Replaced main 100 amp fuse and ignition coil but still not starting. Theres power to the coil and injectors but no pulse. Ohms on crank sensor are 800ohms. Tried ac volt test on sensor and is 1.15v cranking and .017v without cranking. Also tried a bypass and put a test light on battery positive and tapped crank sensor plug and did not get a relay click or pulse. All fuses are good. Will try looking for voltage or light test positive to computer harness to see if computer is good. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks
This is not a hall effect system but a wastespark. This hyundai doesnt have 5 volts going to sensors from pcm. The crank is magnetic and produces its own voltage from rotation of crankshaft.
Hello, check when you turn key ON if immobilizer indicator light in the dash is ON or not.
Second when you cranking the engine does your tacho needle moves ??
Does your PCM read the rpm signal ??
Next step your should check at a sensor (for ex* MAF sensor or TPS) if there is 5 volt
These are some first steps your should check, and let us know how went
Code. P0108 comes up. Map sensor. I tested the harness plug on map sensor with ignition key on and pin 1 is 5.5volts pin 2 is 5 volts. Pin 3 is 5 volts. Pin 4 is 0 volts.

Will check resistance on that tomorrow. Apparently there is injection pulse now on all 4 injectors after replacing crank sensor. Still no pulse at coil negative but do have power on coil positive. No spark is now the issue.there is power to test light on both terminals of coil when harness is plugged into coil and backprobed.
