Magneto resistive sensors

Hello guys,

I'm trying to find the magneto resistive sensors circuit diagram for both the ( ECU inside circuit & the sensor inside circuit ) , but unfortunately Paul in his videos didn't illustrate and draw the circuit unlike his topics of VRS and Hall effect sensors.

So please guys help me as I'm preparing research related to this topics.

Thanks,

Interesting subject. I've read quite some confusion whether it's a Hall effect or an MRE.
What I've learned so far. These active sensors operate differently. The 2 wire Hall effect can have an internal magnet with classic tone ring or an external magnet in the wheel hub.
With the sensor plugged in you should read a 12v feed on one wire and around 1.8 volts on the other this being the signal wire.
An MRE plugged in or not will read a 12v feed and a ground on the other wire. Plugged in the ECU watches the change in amperage (typically between 7 to 14 mA) caused by the altering resistance when tone ring moves.
I hope more of us will jump in here and add to or correct the information above. Also some wiring diagrams as a visual aid.

Their was a good tehnical introduction to 2 wire Hall Effect sensor ABS sysyem provided by either Kia or Hyundai I will see if I can find it. Hella also have some detailed web pages on the various types.
