2019 Ford Edge 2.0L.
vehicle came in no start and no communication with any module. Testing at the actual Gate way Module DLC pins 6&14 I had 450K ohms with battery disconnected.
Found connector C238 loose in passenger foot well due to connector being broken.
My question is with this vehicle operating properly I only have 120 OHMS at 6&14 and NO WAVEFORM at all. Voltage is zero on 6&14 with vehicle running.
Is this how these function normally? Seems counterintuitive to normal HIGH SPEED CAN testing.
Appreciate any information. Thanks
Your readings are normal. Pins 6 & 14 are a "Diagnostic CAN". Until you plug a scantool in, there is only one module on this network, the Gateway Module, and therefore only one terminating resistor.
If you want to see the expected 60 Ω, test on the other side of the Gateway Module.
