05 dodge ram 1500 4.L I rebuilt the engine new over size pistons, rings and bearings. When i was done putting all together i started the truck and it ran good. I let it idle for 4 hrs. and it nice and smooth idle was at about 600 rpms. Now I take it on a test drive and it runs great but when I come to a stop idle will drop to 500 rpms and come back up sometimes, most of the times it just turns off. I find if I come to a slow stop and lightly release the brake it will stay on. There is no dtc truck runs good only thing is idle at stop. What should i be looking at ?
Thank you for your help.

Ok if i step on the brake to shift it is fine if i come to a slow stop it is fine. When i'm doing 50 mph and if I need to step on the brake and come to a some what quick stop it will turn off. If i baby the brake peddle i can stop idle drops to about 500 rpm i release the brake peddle idle go's back up to 600 rpm. If i'm goin up hill and I need to step on the brake it will turn off, it's like the idle motor is to slow to respond .

Wow and that's why they call him the Tom Brady of scanner danner forum!Tyler wrote: Yo gilbert!
How's the transmission fluid level? This kinda sounds like the torque converter clutch is sticking applied due to low fluid level.
