Hi everyone,

I have a hantek 1008 with Hscope on my Android Phone. I connected it to the secondary ignition wire with the Ht25 probe. Each time i start the car i lose connection of the device in the app. i have setup the Ht 25 probe in the app and used it on my channel 1, i was on the no:1 cylinder and had a good ground.

My Questions are. Am i missing something?, Is the voltage to high for my phone and its protects itself? Is my setup right?

it seems there is no information on the subject so maybe one of you guys knows something for this setup.

Thanks!

Kevin

How are you supplying 5v USB power to the Hantek ?

I think USB power is the issue the the A to D converter in the scope will use a fair bit of power once they start doing high speed conversion
You could use a powered usb hub but that would that away the whole point of using the HScope software

Which phone? Some don't have OTG. Or are disabled.

That won't be the issue issue everey virtual scope I have used includin Hantek that draws power from a laptop via USB has a Y splitter cable that draws power from two USB ports on the laptop. Converting the analog inputs from the the scope inputs is power hungry.
Also the circuit design of the Hantek scopes are I have gather from a welknown electronics blog on Youtube to not be particularly efficent
