I just picked up a used pico 2204A, I know the 2000 series doesn't work with the automotive software.  I found a workaround for pico 6 in this thread, but it doesn't seem to work for pico 7.  Has anyone found a workaround for 7 by any chance?

No Automotive version will work, on older fw it was possible to run automotive 6.14.25....
