I'm looking for some input regarding the Carscope Plus and/or Carscope Eter from Ditex ( link ). Both are marketed as automotive scopes, specs are "OK", price isn't terrible. What attracted me to these is the PC based software they run on. I've only used it in demo mode, but I like it. Clean and intuitive with nice automotive features. I find it more user friendly than, say, PicoScope.  You can download it here .

There are a couple of things that are difference about these scopes. Not sure if I'd say they were good or bad. They are not USB based. Power comes from a 9-36v supply, which could be a car battery. The other thing, again because they aren't USB based, PC connectivity is through Ethernet. From what I can tell (needs to be verified), a simple straight through Ethernet cable attached directly between the scope and PC is all that's needed. No need for a LAN. That's actually kinda cool because you're no longer limited to USB's max 9 feet (USB 3) or 16 feet (USB 2). Assuming it supports standard Ethernet, that max length is over 300 feet. Obviously, 300 feet is a bit extreme, but it certainly provides more flexibility if you're pushing your PC on a cart around the vehicle. Although, if you opted to use the car battery for power, well, then you're movement is again limited.

Anyway, anyone have experience with these? Good, bad, ugly?

hi, i think pico 2204 it's a better option, why? you still have to use attenuators DITEX is 20V input also, still 8 bit resolution, can't record thousands of screens if you want overnight record, you need charger, is' much bigger than pico 2204, i say these because i was looking to upgrade the pico to a 4ch scope, and i probably remain to 4ch 2000 series of pico.
Autel was a good specs scope with 12bit resolution but no longer available

I had own a   CarScope PLUS  and it's a very good scope, you cannot compare with a 2204(that is for kids to play) as well is in different class compared with Hantek, Autel or Launch(i had own all of them and are rubbish).
The resolution is a little bit low but you can play with the sampling rate, for the input you will not need to use any attenuator until around 200V only for the ignition or CR diesel injectors.
I recommend to use 10:1 instead 20:1 and use from  them  not hantek 20:1 or you can use pico as well but they are very expensive(i have two from Pico and 8 from Ditex).

I had made a few adjustment for the scope adding a power bank(usb C 5-12V output) and wifi access point(there was no delay).

The same power bank (12V) i'm using for KTS 570.

Now i own a few scopes but mostly i'm using pico 4425a, 4824A and Bosch KTS 570.
