Accident was April 2015 and Shelter check was issued 4/27/2015 for $668.17. Car never drove right from the accident on. I keep my car in the garage most of the time and I drive my other vehicles. I noticed around December 29th/ 2016 that I started to see text messages from my vehicle. I called to have BMW look at my car the end of December (12-30-2016). At that time the BMW tech indicated that my Partition Panels were ALL BROKEN and that they need replaced ASAP! “If you don’t replace these broken panels the wires will get wet and shorten out the batteries, as well as, the hybrid battery getting wet. When this happens the hybrid battery/batteries will go bad, and that it might have started already”. I had the panels replaced and in May 2017 I started to see additional Hybrid Battery messages from the car (stating Hybrid malfunction battery). Between when I got the vehicle back from 1/24/2017 to May 15th/2017 the car was driven very very little and was stored in my garage. I took the car back into BMW and they went through a battery of testing with the Corporate OFFICE and BMW replaced several parts that involved the battery/batteries (BMW protocol) and after the replaced parts the battery for hybrid was “shot”. The car’s battery was NO good and needs replaced. I paid for the repair work of the “Broken Panels” and paid for the costs in May 2017 as well in which I need to be reimbursed for by Insurance. I called my insurance agent and had him contact the local Shelter Insurance agent Todd Fletcher (Canton, IL.) to let him know on what is going on. My insurance agent had talked to Mr. Fletcher and he was going to follow-up on the claims office with Shelter. After several weeks Mr. Fletcher had forgotten to follow-up with the claims office. My insurance agent had to leave message for him several times to give him a call. Finally Mr. Fletcher followed-up on our request to contact the claims office. I have talked to my Insurance Company’s Claims Office and told the history (above) and they are relating this ALL to the accident. I have the paper work and invoices to show the documentation from the TECH on the invoice about Replacing the Panels. Bill
