Definitely loading and generally working much better my end. The last one did get a bit clunky and laggy at times. Thanks for all the time and effort you all put in. Between swinging spanners, watching the videos and trying to get on the forum my family question the strange man in the house when I finally show my face.

Hey Dylan, Tyler and Noah.

I see you are the great responders and instigators to most of the topics. What I don't see is your backgrounds. I've seen Paul's through a couple of his videos. Could you please introduce yourselves to the newer members?

Regards,
Jason

Sorry I didn't see this post sooner, my bad! Good suggestion, BTW ;)

For my part, I'm currently a general service technician at an independent repair shop. Six years in the field, ASE Master and L1 certified. Two year degree in automotive technology.

Working on a little bit of everything these days. Yesterday, I had a '69 Camaro getting an engine in the AM, and electrical problems on a 2013 Dodge Dart in the afternoon. The variety of vehicles I see daily is part of the fun/challenge.

I MURDER CARS!!!!
Seriously, rip 'em to shreds.
I'm the only guy I know who works at a junkyard and holds an ASE certificate for A6 Electrical Systems and A8 Engine Performance. When I take a break from crushing, smashing and torching everything into oblivion , I diagnose the problem cars at the garage attached to the junkyard.
This week I dissected a dozen cars with an acetylene torch, and diagnosed an Acura TL that wouldn't engage the A/C compressor because of a failed PCM driver.

Oops didn't see this either...

I started as a parts manager at a Mercedes dealership, trucks and cars. But I got bored after 5 years and when I saw those technicians at the shop I realized that's what I wanted to do. So got back to school for 3 years to get my degree in automotive technology. We don't have ASE here in Belgium :-)
Been working as a technician for 11 years now. Different dealerships......Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Ford, Opel.... Some were pretty short experiences ;-) If I didn't get the chance to evolve I just quit. The longest I worked for was Toyota ( 7 years ) where I also got the opportunity to study for 2 years at Toyota Motor Europe. Currently I'm working for an Opel dealership and I'm studying to get my degree as techmaster.

Hi,from mid-wales in GB,Landrver man here,i,ve been working in the motor trade since the 1970,s,i started off with mini,s,triuph heralds, and all the usual vehicles for that era,so things have changed a bit in all this time,
I did leave it for 20years in 1976 so i could work on a farm, well actually a 40acre small hill farm,i did carry on withfarm equipment and landrovers before going back into a main landrover dealers,
I now carry out mot testing in a busy small town garage,we work on anything really that comes through the door,
Istarted out with a multi meter back in the 1980.s then progressed over the years wth a mt 2500,then a grapghing version on to a modis and at the moment a gen verus 1,i have watched Pauls you tube videos for years,i have found them extremely helpful and instructive,Ihope he carrys on educating us and showing how to tackle problems in motor vehicles, being where we are we see mostly diesel engined vehicles,of all ages,

Thank you Paul"scannerdanner for everything

Peter

I am 60yr old automobile tech. in Lansdale, PA. I seemed to get by for many years by the seat of my pants with electrical diagnosis. I wish I would of come across Paul D. and his style and approach years ago. I need to recertify ASE A1 -A8 as I had let them expire 2 years ago. I wish to thank those who run this website as it is such a valuable tool for young people in the field, including this old timer.
